Playboy and Hugh: Thin life of difference between nudity, porn and promiscuity
Playboy is a famous brand for variety of reasons. It might be simply a perfume brand for someone or it can be a source for pleasure for adults. In any case, the founder of Playboy, Hugh Hefner is character which needs to be learned. For a long time Hugh was a character which I was following. I admire him for his persistence on printing an adult magazine in a time when nudity is considered as taboo even in United States. Hugh is envied by many people and he is also role model for many people who wants to become a playboy, only that it is no longer possible to become another Hugh Hefner, not anymore.
When playboy was introduced, it was almost exclusive platform to view naked woman and read erotic stuff. But, time has changed now and easy availability of online porn made requirement of print magazine obsolete. Now anyone who wants to view a naked woman is just a fingertips away in their smartphone. Playboy magazine's subscription which was at millions one time has just reduced to 700,000 subscribers and it will keep decreasing and there is no way it will gain its previous glory. Now, if anyone wants to become another Hugh Hefner, he should be a king of current times - that is King of Porn. But, the problem is that no one will recognise a "Porn king" as a celebrity as Hugh Hefner was once recognised despite his questionable characteristics.
Why i am fascinated with the story of Hugh hefner is that despite his lavish, unethical lifestyle and handful of various other unlawful incidents, he was still considered as an ideal playboy. It's hard to imagine someone will get that kind of reverence in these times. According to data available, Hugh is supposedly slept with more than 1000 woman - WOW!! and some might say that is the signature characteristic of a playboy. But, I contradict with that notion because there are no written rules that a playboy literally need to have sex with woman. Playboy as you can see in mainstream media like Bruce Wayne in Batman and Tony Stark In Ironman are considered as Playboys but they always draw a distinction between promiscuity and hanging out with woman. Being with a naked woman does not mean one needs to have sex with them especially just because they have easy access to them. In any standards, having sexual relationships with beyond a reasonable number of people is immoral and unethical. In addition to that there is nothing special in the act of Coitus or sex itself. It is a meaningless thing which humans do on animal instincts. The famous Barney Stinson character in How I Met Your Mother has confessed calling his own sex journey as "meaningless", but that didn't stopped him and still he pursued the path of casual sex and promiscuity at the end, but, the thing to note is that he became a sex addict due to love failure and like that everyone have some reason or another to go on f”””ing relentlessly .
